TOF? Manta térmica? https://t.co/glQEc8SUjx https://
@PulmCrit @LandsbergManual @pedrocaiado3 @BVidalPimentel @cjosephy Great review shows RCT provides Average Treatment Effect (ATE), which can be misleading if offsetting harm & benefit are present in different hidden subgroups (eg different PUHD) All k

I was digging into whether RCTs are a good way to assess safety (tl;dr they're not) - and found this. Why are we still bothering to monitor patients when there's RCT evidence it makes no difference? Sats probes can damage finger skin. (/s, to be clear!)
@SleepSquire @ottawaheartrob TEE in valve surgery has reasonable evidence to support an effect on mortality. https://t.co/jBgIqKfDUh Capnography, less so. https://t.co/UGL1bQOZTm Oximetry, even less. https://t.co/qQ5mWnhve3
Routine pulse oximetry monitoring do not decrease mortality. But does anyone here stop using it? Evidence-Based Medicine will never tell the clinician what to do. It's important to combine with caregiver experience when practicing medicine. https://t.co/7g
